The Tadpole, as the device is known, patented by Stan Whetsone of Tadpole Energy Ltd in North Yorkshire, is a small unit which tags onto any kind of boiler system to significantly increase efficiency and subsequently reduce energy consumption, CO2 emissions and energy bills by up to 25%. This winter I tested a device designed to transfer central heating. The Tadpole is a small gizmo which takes the air out of the system, increasing efficiency and cutting fuel consumption by up to 25 per cent. The coldest winter in a decade means I can’t compare fuel use with previous years. But our radiators and water are much hotter and we never once had to “bleed” the radiators. Read more…
